Enrichment

We have a number of activities as part of our Enrichment at Waterside Academy:

Below are the Enrichment Programmes that are on offer for our students in KS3:

 Basketball - This supports their future aspirations in progressing on and off of the basketball court, whilst maintaining the required balance and time management skills to be a success in the classroom.

Table Tennis - Table Tennis stimulates mental alertness and concentration and develops mental acuity.

Drama - Drama enhances everything else on the school curriculum. It hones critical, analytical and problem solving skills. It encourages practice (through rehearsal) and perseverance and improves literacy and vocabulary.

Arts Club - Arts Club encourages responsiveness to imagination, creativity, and respect for individual differences and uniqueness by cultivating self-esteem, respect for others.

Board Games Club - The Board Games Club should help students build necessary improvising,collaborating,strategizing,problem solving and leadership skills.

Science Club - The Science Club is an exciting way for students  to explore and engage with the world. It provides an opportunity for individuals to learn about different scientific disciplines, conduct experiments, and participate in various scientific activities.

Football Academy - This club helps to develop the social skills to work with other teammates, make new friends and learn how rewarding it is to participate in team sports, especially if they score that winning goal!

Crochet Club - This is an artistic hobby where you create exquisite pieces of textile by using yarn and a single needle with a hooked edge.
