Welcome to Waterside Academy
Thank you for your interest in Waterside Academy. Since becoming Headteacher here in July 2024, it has been my personal mission to ensure that this school becomes the school of choice for parents in Hackney.

Eniola has been given leadership roles at the school including being a member of the school council and volunteering at the Summer School, competing against his peers for the opportunity and impressing the interval panel with his maturity and articulate responses.
Karen
Languages and Law
Karen has also been given opportunities in the last year to take part in the wider life of the school. She has been involved in summer school as a Student Leader, a role which she interviewed for and successfully was awarded beating many of her peers.
Khadija
College programme
Khadija was part of the second cohort of students on the school’s prestigious colleges programme, applying to selective schools. She was successfully awarded a place at Fulham School on a full bursary worth £50,000.
Cemre
College programme
Cemre enrolled on the prestigious college programme and successfully was awarded a full scholarship to study A-levels at Ashbourne College worth £10,000 a term.
